Assignment 2 - Milestones
Milestones represent changes in what students know and can do. They say, "I am getting better all the time!" Each milestone is represented through a picture or graphic with a caption. A click on the Milestone leads to a Discoveries page with reflections on how the Milestone was actually achieved.
By now, you should have explored what other cadre members have added to their efolios and we are sure that you have ideas about what you would like to add. Well, this is your chance. Please follow along with the steps below to create your first "milestone."
Step 1 - Click on your picture
Step 2 - Consider one of your milestones in your action research project. Choose the one that was most meaningful to you so far and create on the milestones page. You may add an image that represents this milestone if you wish. *Note* if your image is too large, the efolio will time-out and not load you image. If this happens to you, open photoshop, or something similar, and reduce the image size and try it again.
Step 3 - Once you see your milestone has been added. You may wish to add another. To do so, follow the same steps as you did in creating your first milestone.
Step 4 - That is it for now. Next time you will add discoveries to your milestones. The Discoveries provide the background, context and importance of the learning through the reflections of the student, teacher and parents. They show what the student knows, how she knows what she knows, the value of what she knows and her goals for the future. So, start thinking about what you would add to reveal your learning.
